Cinco Events for Cinco de Mayo
In case you’ve been living under a rock lately and have no concept of time, let me be the first to inform you that this Saturday, as in the day after Friday, is May 5th or more commonly known in Spanish-speaking countries as Cinco de Mayo.
Still looking for something to do? Somewhere to go? A Patron or Corona drink special perhaps? We’ve scoured through the thousands of events here in Vegas, Summerlin, Henderson and North town to bring you 5 events around town worth your time, effort and pesos! Cinco Fiestas for Cinco de Mayo.
1. Agave
What do you get when you cross a 4,000 sq ft party tent and Patron and Corona drink specials? If it’s Cinco de Mayo, you’re probably at Agave in Summerlin. Determined to bury last year’s Cinco party, the crew at Agave has been promoting this years event for the last 6 weeks with weekly prizes, drawings and drink specials at their sister restaurant, Roadrunner Salloon. With Cinco on a Saturday this year, Agave decided to kick it up a notch with Friday AND Saturday events. Come out for the drink specials and stay for the music!

2. Nacho Daddy
Nacho Daddy is ready to lead the Cinco celebration efforts in the SouthEast and we’re ready to keep the Corona and M0delo ice cold with our handy-dandy draft truck! Food and drink specials will be available all day and be sure to have a margarita or 2. Foursquare addicts will want to check-in to the @SWSknows draft truck and foodtruck fans should know that Snow Ono Shave-Ice AND Fukuburger will be servin’ up some fun too!

3. Senor Frogs
Senor Frog’s 3rd US location is like the rest in the chain, right on the water. The only difference? This locale is landlocked. Senor Frog’s Treasure Island restaurant celebrates their Grand Opening on Cinco de Mayo and they’re doing it with a bang. Ambhar Tequila is sponsoring The World’s Largest Tequila Toast led by Mr. Robin Leach. I asked Billy O’Rourke of Ambhar what the connection between Senor Frog’s and Ambhar was. Turns out that Billy owns a club in Cancun. His neighbors across the street… Senor Frog’s.

4. Border Grill
Border Grill in the Mandalay Bay has some of the best Cinco drink specials on the strip. $5 Patron margaritas and $5 Coronas. And my personal favorite: The $29 Bucket of Corona and 200ml bottle of Patron. Make a run for the border and keep cool in the lazy river.

5. Lee’s Beer & Tequila Experience
For 6 years now Mr. Lee has thrown his Beer and Tequila Experience and it’s always a fiesta. Featuring over 300 handcrafted beers and 70 of Mexico’s finest tequilas, the experience has become 5 hours of non-stop action.

Lee Ann Rimes sips champagne at Boychuck’s after Jordan Golf Tourney
Lee Ann Rimes enjoys a glass of champagne at Michael Boychuck’s salon Color in Caesar’s Palace while winding down from the rigors of the Michael Jordan Celebrity Gold Tournament with husband Eddie Cibrian. It wasn’t specified what she was sipping but we’d bet it was something from the Moët family, Veuve maybe or perhaps a glass of Dom?
Whatever the case, it’s another great example of celebrities enjoying the unique offerings of Las Vegas in incomparable style.
